I was born in Niğde, in central Anatolia, and attended high school in Adana. I graduated from Ankara University Medical School, and began my career at Bakırköy Neurological Sciences Hospital, working in the clinic of Zeki Oral MD from 1987 to 1993. During this time, I completed my micro neurosurgery education under Professor M. Gazi Yaşargil at Zurich University.From 1993 to 2003, I worked at Professor Necmettin Pamir’s Clinic at Marmara University, where I became an associate professor of neurosurgery in 2003. During this time, I gained expertise in neurooncology and vascular neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University, working with Professors Donlin M. Long and Daniele Rigamonti.Between 2004 and 2010, I served as Chief of Clinic at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, where I led the clinic to become the only accredited clinic in Turkey by EANS. During this period, I also completed my endoscopic skull base training at the University of Pittsburgh.

I was born in Antalya. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education (including 1 year of English prep) in Antalya. Prof. Dr. Adnan AYVAZ, born in Trabzon in 1965, graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the same university in the Department of Child Health and Diseases. He completed his subspecialty in Pediatric Neurology in 2008 and became an Associate Professor in 2015. He is a member of several professional organizations including the National Pediatrics Association, the Turkish Medical Association, and the Turkish Association of Pediatric Neurology. With numerous national and international articles published, Prof. Dr. Adnan AYVAZ currently works at the Istanbul Allergy Center in Ataşehir.

In 2017, I did an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Observership at the Northwestern University Neurology Department in Chicago and Chicago Memorial Hospital in the United States.Since 2018, I have been working as a part-time lecturer at Izmir University of Economics.In 2020, I was invited to establish the Neurology Department, Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG-EMG), and Sleep Laboratories at the newly established Medicana International Izmir Hospital. He was appointed as an Associate Professor in 1988 and as a Professor in 1997.Prof. Dr. Nezih OKTAR has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery at Ege University Faculty of Medicine since 1983, and he retired from this position in 2015.
