I was operated on by Dr Phil Lockie on the 10th of September 2024, for a hernia. We discussed the procedure, months before the operation which was to be keyhole surgery through the belly button. My first hernia operation in early 2023 with Dr Phil Lockie, was keyhole surgery through the belly button with no complications. On the day of the surgery, just before being rolled into the operating theatre Dr Phil Lockie informs me that he was going to use a new robot that he's never used before, I was totally surprised because Dr Phil Lockie never mentioned to me in advance about using a robot for my second hernia operation. I woke up in pain and ended up with a hematoma and weeks later with a seroma and blood clots on the lungs. I have factor 5 leiden deficiency, the second operation to drain the hematoma is what caused the blood clots, and me being short of breath. What should have been a day surgery ended up 18 nights (Over four visits) in hospital with complications. I’m still recovery

I can't thank the team enough at Dr Lockie's practice. Since my surgery back in April in 2023, I've lost over 40kg and still dropping. The 2 Michelle's in Psychology and Dieticians are amazing and the girls upfront on the desk are so friendly will do so much to help you. You've saved my life.

I am currently 3 months post my SADI procedure. Highly recommend Dr Lockie & his team for being extremely thorough in making sure I covered off everything I needed to know and everything I needed to do prior to surgery. Once in hospital, the teams care & caring was impressive! Once I was home, I had a mobile to text if there was anything concerning me. Now healthy, happy & 30kg lighter. Had my gastric sleeve surgery done by Dr Lockie in 2018 and have never looked back. Sorry I haven't put a review on sooner. My husband and I were travelling around Australia at the time so they managed to fast-track everything for me to fit in with our travel plans. Loved every minute of my journey, from the original consult with the team, who were all so friendly and knowledgeable to the surgery itself. Dr Lockie was so amazing and fixed my hiatus hernia (which he found at the pre-op procedures) at the same time, which had caused me problems for years. My life has now changed for the better, I am just under 30kgs lighter and never regret a moment, every penny was a penny well spent. Best decision of my life. Both pre and post-care have been amazing. Thank you so much to Dr Lockie and your amazing team and look forward to our annual catch up.

Professional, honest and clearly explained examination and treatment from the start. Doctor Lockie and his staff were all very helpful throughout. My Hernia repair was done promptly and I am now back at work.

Earlier this year I injured my back so badly that I knew I had to lose some weight for my own health - it was the wake up call I needed to take action. I made the decision to see Dr Lockie and get the process started. I had gastric sleeve surgery in August and I’m very happy with the results. My daughter’s friend’s entire family had this surgery done so I was familiar with the everything the process entailed. I chose Dr Lockie because of his great track record of doing this procedure. The before and after surgery care was brilliant. I’ve still got another dietician appointment and blood tests to do. In the new year I’ll see Dr Lockie again and then I’ll have a psychologist session too. I think knowing that such an amazing support system is in place, just sets you at ease. That was the best part for me, just knowing I was in good hands. The doctors at the clinic are a married couple, but they kept everything professional at all times.

Repair of a previous hernia repair. My first hernia operation was through the public system, I wasn't given any advice on post operative care and consequently the hernia returned. My re-repair was done by Dr Lockie, it was head and shoulders above what I expected. As always, it costs a bit, but was pleasantly surprised how affordable it was in the end. Felt in very good hands. I received very good attention and advice on both pre and post operative care. I am very pleased and confident of the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate in using him again
