If you’re having second thoughts about Bariatric surgery in Mexico, don’t! Dr. Barrera and his team not only are top-notch professionals but they make you feel like family! Nydia was wonderful answering all my questions and guiding me literally every single step of the way! Not to mention upon my arrival she was wonderful! In addition, Dr Barrera’s bedside manner is out of this world! This team is truly like no other, you would never find this type of care in the US! I traveled from Dallas to get bariatric surgery and it’s been the best decision ever, so glad I chose this team! The hospital they used and their staff and care was world class treatment. Dr. Barrera is an excellent Surgeon. He explained everything about my gastric Sleeve surgery in simple words and always checking on after. Surgery. Also Nydia his assistant make all the process very easy and simple, from my first appointment to the hospital admission until my departure. Also after arriving home she’s happy to assist. Traveled from Houston and to Monterrey for a Gastric Bypass. Everything from pick up and appointments went smoothly. Dr. Barrera and team are excellent. The hospital stay was great staff went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. I truest appreciate Dr. Barrera answering all my questions and addressing my husbands concerns. He was honest and detailed.

I made this decision because the blood sugar had it out of control. From the moment I arrived until the moment of my departure, they were aware of all my needs. All very well planned. from hotel, transportation and laboratories. I never waited on any of my dates. Everything was previously planned. The staff were very friendly and helpful. At these moments, I don't take my medication. I feel much better after the surgery.

I traveled to Monterrey to have the gastric sleeve in July 2022. From the moment I arrived I experienced first class service. Nydia was absolutely amazing from pre op answering all my questions. She was always available. Everyone was so welcoming. I had a private room at the hospital with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The day after surgery I felt like I had not even had surgery besides a few gas pains (as expected). I am almost four weeks post op and have had absolutely no issues. By the first week you could barely see my incisions on my stomach. I would recommend Dr Barrera and his team any day. They are simply amazing

Gastric sleeves were done by the doctor, the whole experience was stress-free and the surgery went well. Well organised and helpful. No regrets.
