I had a great experience! There was a nurse that really stood out above the rest. I believe her name is Michelle. She walked with me after the surgery while I was feeling nauseous, checked on my often, made me comfortable and even braided my hair so I wouldn't get throw up in my hair. She was absolutely fantastic. I was impressed with a woman named Alex too. Everyone there was incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you.

Alexa at the front desk is amazing. The floor nurses and doctors are top notch. The surgeons got to know us as people and not just patients. Best experience i have ever had.

I recently stayed at OCC for surgery and I must say, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hospital. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and professional staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease. The level of care I received throughout my stay was exceptional, and I felt completely supported every step of the way. The Nurses are simply amazing and very attentive to your needs! The hotel Lucirna itself is a true luxury, with stunning amenities and a serene atmosphere. My room was beautifully appointed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. It was a true retreat! A huge thank you to Dr. Ortiz – he is absolutely amazing! He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure I was completely confident before my procedure. The surgery went smoothly, and I’m already feeling great! Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience at both Lucirna and OCC, highly recommend this place to anyone seeking top-tier

I had surgery Dec 11th and from the first contact til today I felt very cared for and listened to. The clinic was very clean, the entire OCC staff was kind and friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing is perfect, I have a lot of gas pain and am tired but I feel I made the perfect choice for me. The hotel was good and everyone there knows why you're there and is helpful. I would do it again!

We had revision on our gastric sleeves. Everyone there was amazing, from the reception to the Doctor's!! Very clean, will go back for plastic surgery once I lose the weight. Highly recommend!! John and Kelly Croft

From the initial consultation over the phone to being at the clinic in person, the process was incredible. The staff was so knowledgeable, supportive and accommodating. Dr. Ortiz came to meet with me prior to surgery and was incredibly kind and confident. I would absolutely recommend the OCC.

I am 3.5 weeks post gastric sleeve surgery and my experience so far with OCC could not have been better. All of the OCC staff were kind, considerate, respectful, helpful, understanding, responsive, and accommodating The week after I returned home from OCC, my spouse had to have surgery which we were expecting to be outpatient (going home same day) but ended up staying one night in a Novant hospital in NC. There was only one medical staff (a nurse) who was nice and helpful and I think she was just helping while our nurse was at lunch break because we only had 2 interactions with her. OCC medical facility was very clean and organized. The progressive flow of treatment before and after surgery was effective and efficient. The day of my surgery there were four of us scheduled for surgery. We all meet the morning of the surgery when the shuttle picked us up at the fantastic nearby Lucerna Hotel and took us a short drive to the OCC facility where we were met at the door.

I've had my band over 15 years and have had no problems. The medical care that I received while I was down there was incredible. It makes the states look terrible. The doctors there spend time with you. They explain the procedure and they did not seem rushed. For the first time I was being respected and listened to, I highly recommend OCC if you're going to have any surgery at all. Don't go anywhere else. This is the place in Mexico that you want to go. Trust me you won't regret it.

Phenomenal service. Made travel to and from very easy. The information through emails daily on the process and diet. Cannot not say enough good things about my experience and how friendly and helpful the staff was.

I decided to Travel to OCC after reading and researching their facility. An let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed. They where absolutely wonderful, helpful, extremely knowledgeable. An any questions I've had during pre op, to surgery, through post op now they have helped! Their hospital is one I've never seen like before! So much cleaner then the State side. When you walk in you can Smell the cleanliness. The whole state, from the door man, to the front counter to the ones helping you be discharged where so helpful. I highly recommend you guys checking them out and giving them a shot. Yes it might be out of country but the care that you received is top of the line

Best experience imaginable! From start to finish 10/10!

OCC far surpassed my expectations and my expectations were high. I have never been treated so professionally and with such care and compassion. Every single person that helped me went above and beyond to make sure my questions were answered and my needs were met. I had an abdominal surgery in the states (Colorado) in 2022 and it was the worst experience of my life. The recovery was excruciating and long. The abdominal surgery at OCC is mind boggling. How they were able to do this major surgery on the abdominal area and I NEVER felt an ounce of pain. It truly doesn’t feel like I had surgery. I can’t recommend OCC and Dr Ortiz enough. If you are contemplating this surgery, look no further than OCC! You’ll thank yourself!!

I have nothing but great things to say about OCC. They are a first class organization. The journey from beginning to current time has been exceptional. The communication was wonderful, the entire staff pretty much held your hand through each step of the journey. From the very beginning with Efron, Then with Lucia the chief nutritionist. They were all just an email or a call away. They always responded quick with just the answer I needed to keep me on track. I had the Gastric sleeve on 7/4/24 and have had zero problems since being home, But, if I do I know that someone is there to help me. So if you are considering WLS, I highly recommend OCC for all your weight loss needs.

I had such an amazing experience at OCC. Everyone was so kind. The staff there is exceptional and better than any of the care I’ve received in the States. I’m so happy I decided to go with them. I was super nervous and anxious but after speaking with Dr. Alma (she’s literally amazing btw), I felt so at ease. She made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions. At first, we were skeptical with making the trip to Mexico for the surgery but it’s very safe y’all. Never once did my mother or I feel as if we were in any danger.

I really think I had the best experience I could have possibly had at OCC. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I felt that I was in the best hands. My surgeon, Dr. Martinez, took his time answering my questions and nothing ever felt rushed. The pre and post op doctors and nurses take amazing care of you and make sure you’re on the right track. The nutritionist, Lucia, also makes sure you’re on the right track and she’s so kind and gentle! I can’t wait to go back for an endoscopy! I’m so happy with the care I received at OCC.

I cant say enough about how grateful I am to the OCC team. It was such an easy process from consult to discharge, that I kept questioning if it was too good to be true. The staff and medical team were so attentive and genuinely cared about my success throughout the entire process. The hotel was pleasant and very accommodating and the actual medical facility was immaculate. There was never a moment I questioned my safety or wellbeing. Currently I am 5 days post opp and have had absolutely no complications or issues getting my liquids down. I am so glad I did my research and went with the recommendations of former OCC patients. 11lbs down and looking forward to a healthier future.
