My treatment was arranged through Iberia Clinic, a Spanish medical tourism company, which coordinated my visit to Dr. Birkan Duras Dental Clinic in Istanbul.
On September 1, 2025, I arrived at the clinic accompanied by an interpreter provided by Iberia Clinic. I signed a contract directly with Iberia Clinic and paid the agreed amount in cash to their representative. The contract clearly stated that the treatment would consist of 20 porcelain veneers.
However, instead of veneers, I was fitted with dental crowns. To place these crowns, 20 of my previously healthy teeth were extensively reduced. I maintain that I never gave informed consent for crowns and was expecting the veneer treatment specified in my contract.
Since then, I have tried to clarify responsibility for what happened. Iberia Clinic claims the clinic is responsible, while the clinic points to Iberia Clinic. As a patient, I find it unacceptable that neither party has taken clear responsibility or provided a satisfactory r
