St. Vincent's Private Hospital stands as an integral part of the esteemed St. Vincent's Healthcare Group, alongside St. Vincent's University Hospital at Elm Park and St. Michael's Hospital in Dun Laoghaire. Rooted in a rich history, the hospital's origins trace back to the compassionate care provided at the private nursing homes on Leeson Street and Pembroke Street in Dublin, operated under the dedicated care of the Religious Sisters of Charity.

The hospital's evolution unfolded with the establishment of St. Vincent's University Hospital at Elm Park. To consolidate resources and elevate patient care, a pivotal decision was made to relocate the two private nursing homes to the same site. On 1st May 1974, St. Vincent's Private Hospital emerged, adjacent to St. Vincent's University Hospital, forming Ireland's sole multi-integrated hospital campus.
