Our History

Dr. Burger established the Melville dental practice in Johannesburg in 1968, which became the largest solely-owned practice in South Africa for many years. Dr. Gys De Necker joined the Melville practice in 1986 and later acquired it in 1998. As the Melville practice grew, Dr. De Necker established a second branch in George in 1997, nestled in the picturesque Garden Route, boasting a team of highly skilled dentists and oral hygienists.

In 2010, Dr. De Necker inaugurated another dental practice in the vibrant Century City of Cape Town. This practice boasts a team of dentists, oral hygienists, and an on-site laboratory.

Each of the De Necker Dentistry practices has been meticulously designed to feature customized office spaces equipped with the latest and most advanced dental equipment. All three practices house multiple dental treatment rooms and on-site laboratories, ensuring impeccable work quality and swift, efficient service for our valued patients.
