Assoc. Dr. A. Mert Bilgili, born in Istanbul in 1970, completed his secondary education at Istanbul German High School, earning the Abitur diploma. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1995, during which he was actively involved in research and organizing student seminars. He started his specialty training at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in 1996 and completed it at Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 2000, focusing on rhinoplasty surgery methods. Dr. Bilgili served as chief assistant at Haseki Training Hospital and organized ENT panels with international participation.
In 2005, he joined the ENT ear, nose, and throat center team and later opened his own center with Dr. Aret Çerçi Özkan. He has participated in various international training programs, including at Southampton General Hospital, Essen University Hospital, and Heidelberg University Hospital. Dr. Bilgili has attended meetings of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and conducted studies on rhinoplasty and cadaver surgery.
Dr. Bilgili has presented 35 oral and poster presentations at national and international congresses and published 30 scientific articles. His expertise includes primary and revision functional and aesthetic nose surgery, nasal area surgeries, sleep apnea, snoring surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, and pediatric otorhinolaryngology.
He has organized and participated in numerous panels and seminars, including the National Otorhinolaryngology Congress, and has served as a guest speaker and course organizer at ENT congresses. Dr. Bilgili is a member of the Turkish Otorhinolaryngology Association, the European Association of Facial Aesthetic Surgery, the Istanbul ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Association, and the Istanbul Medical Chamber.
