3 ay önce Dr. Kandur informed me that my vision was -4 and the best option to correct my vision was LASIK. When I heard the word LASIK eye surgery, I got really scared thinking that there may be complications during the procedure, but Dr. Kandur ensured that my eyes would be protected under her supervision. The surgery lasted for four minutes and I didn't feel any pain during and after the operation. Dr. Kandur checked upon me every minute, asking me about how I was feeling. The most amazing thing about the post-op surgery was that I COULD actually see everything clearly. I was so happy that I finally found the most reliable, kind and supportive doctor like Dr. Leyla Kandur who ensured me that my vision would come back. The recovery time took about a week and a half and later on, my vision has significantly improved.

Born in Istanbul in 1965, she graduated with honors from American Robert College in 1983 and Istanbul University's Istanbul Medical School in 1989. After completing her residency in ophthalmology and a post-graduate fellowship at John Hopkins University, she specialized in anterior segment surgery at the University of California, San Diego. She has published her studies in esteemed journals, contributed to the education of many ophthalmologists, and was recognized as the best young investigator by Bausch & Lomb in 1997. She was then accepted for the exclusive EyeSTAR program at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of the University of California, Los Angeles.
