I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1981. After completing my training as a General Surgery Specialist at Ankara Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, I worked at various hospitals, both in Turkey and the United States. I became an Associate Professor in 1996 and a Professor in 2003. Throughout my career, I focused mainly on breast, thyroid, and endocrine surgery. I also served in various committees and organizations, including the Turkish Surgical Association, where I was elected as the President in 2016. During my presidency, I managed various training programs and organized the largest medical conference in Turkey.

Çağatay hocayı uzun yıllardır ailecek tanıyoruz. Dünyanın en tatlı ve anlayışlı insanı diyebilirim. Ailemizin doktoru olmuştur. Ben, annem , rahmetli babam hepimizin ameliyatını kendisi yapmıştır. Tiroid ameliyatım öncesi birçok korkum ve endişem vardı. Çağatay hocanın güler yüzü ,anlayışı ve tatlı dili sayesinde hepsinden kurtuldum.Şu an gayet sağlıklı bir şekilde hayatıma devam ediyorum. Çağatay hocam iyi ki varsınız. Bu ülkenin yetiştirdiği nadide değerlerden birisisiniz.

In 1981, I graduated from Ankara University and completed my General Surgery training at Ankara Gazi University in 1987. I established the Department of General Surgery at Firat University as an Associate Professor and became a Professor in 2003, focusing on Breast Diseases, Thyroid Diseases, and Endocrine Surgery. I held various positions at universities, Ministry of Health, and Social Security Institution. In 2016, I became the Turkish Surgical Association President and managed Competency Exams and Training Courses. In 2018, I organized the largest medical conference in Turkey, the 21st National Surgical Congress, with the highest number of speaker participations.
