Ph. Onur Erol

Prof. Dr. Onur Erol is a pioneering figure in plastic and reconstructive surgery with an illustrious career spanning more than five decades. A graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1965), he completed surgical specializations at Hacettepe University, followed by advanced fellowships at Eastern Virginia Medical School, University of Miami, and Baylor College of Medicine (1976–1978). 

Prof. Erol held leadership positions at esteemed institutions including Hacettepe, Akdeniz, Marmara, Kadir Has, and Istanbul Bilim universities, and led plastic surgery at Vehbi Koç American Hospital and Florence Nightingale Hospital from 1989 onward. An award-winning researcher, he has authored 114 publications, delivered 417 presentations, and earned prestigious grants from NIH and American Cancer Society. A founding member of Interplast Turkey, he has held prominent roles in the Turkish Plastic Surgery Association and international societies including ISAPS, ASPS, and IPRAS. His academic and clinical legacy is marked by excellence, innovation, and global impact in the field of plastic surgery.
