28 yaşımda meme kanseri 1.evre teşhisi aldım. Teşhisten hemen sonra ameliyat olmam gerektiği kesinleşince doktor arayışına girdik. Çok şanslıymışız ki cerrahi operasyonu Dr. Murat Kapkaç’a oldum ve onun yönlendirmesiyle Ruçhan hocayla tanıştım ve hocam ameliyattan sonraki tedavimi planladı. İlk görüşmemize kemoterapi almam gerekmediğini düşünerek gitmiştim ama Ruçhan hocam beni hiç korkutmadan tek tek ve soğukkanlılıkla neden 4 kürlük bir kemoterapi almam gerektiğini anlattı. Görüşme esnasında çok gerilmiş olsam da hocamın tane tane anlatımıyla sakinlemiştim ve tedavimin doktorumun uygun bulduğu şekilde olması gerektiğine inanmıştım. Kendisini çevremdeki hastalar da çok övmüştü zaten; görüşmemiz esnasında ne kadar emin ellerde olduğumu anladım. Kendisi Egenin çok iyi hekimlerinden, soğukkanlı, oldukça ince detaylarla hasta takibi yapan harika bir doktor. Medicanada aldığım 4 kür kemoterapi sürecinde hocam hep yanımdaydı. Tüm ilaçlarımla sağlık durumumla ilgilendi.

Saygıdeğer Hocam ile annemin meme ca tanısı almasıyla yaklaşık iki buçuk sene önce tanıştık. Kendisini “hocaların hocası” olarak tanımlamak sanırım en doğru tanım olur. Prof. Uslu completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and further specialized in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at Ege University.

He has held pivotal roles, including Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Ege University and General Coordinator at İzmir Private Kent Hospital.
