Dr. Kutay Taş

Uzm. Dr. Kutay TAŞ is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist, and Family Counselor, born and raised in Izmir, and a graduate of Bornova Anadolu High School. He completed his medical education at Manisa Celal Bayar University and began his specialization training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Medicine.

During his specialization training, he had the opportunity to observe various approaches and learn the fundamental aspects and nuances of the profession through a master-apprentice relationship.

He continued his academic work during his specialization training and conducted his specialization thesis on the lack of emotion recognition (alexithymia) and empathy levels in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

He completed his Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training in Child and Adolescent Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) theory and supervision, and holds the title of Cognitive Behavioral Therapist approved by the EACBT association.

He refreshed his theoretical knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy by retaking the course from Assoc. Dr. Vahdet Görmez and his team, to update his knowledge in cognitive behavioral therapy, of which he is already a therapist.

He completed his EMDR therapy training with Burhanettin Kaya, organized by the Turkish Psychiatric Association, and then received a more comprehensive training from the same instructor.

He can assess the problems experienced according to the affected areas of the brain in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), specific learning difficulties, epilepsy, or brain damage due to other organic reasons, and follow up on developments after treatment using objective tests with the Neuropsychological Test Battery Practitioner training.
